John Calhoun

John Calhoun is a Managing Partner of OnPoint Consulting. He leads the firm’s directions and strategy and remains intimately involved in all client work. John has been consulting to the technology industry for over 25 years. He was a Partner and Office Head for 8 years at Oliver Wyman (formerly Mercer Management Consulting). Prior to that, Mr. Calhoun was a Senior Partner and Board Member of The McKenna Group, a management consultancy based in Silicon Valley focused on developing growth strategy for technology companies. John has consulted to the global leaders in every sector, including Google, Splunk, SAP, Microsoft, and Dell as well as to many small to mid cap technology vendors. His areas of focus include business design, growth strategy, go-to-market strategy, and strategic positioning. Mr. Calhoun has several high profile successes in helping clients to identify new market opportunities and to define and own a new market category.

Mr. Calhoun holds an MBA with honors from Queen’s University in Canada and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario (Canada). John is well published in both general business and technology industry journals.

 


Radu Delacroix

Radu Delacroix has been in business advisory and execution roles for over 15 years. He was a Senior Principal at Oliver Wyman (formerly Mercer Management Consulting), focusing on business model innovation, emerging markets, product / offer optimization, go-to-market strategies and new business launch. His experience spans online, advertising-funded business models, software-as-a-service as well as traditional software , technology and communication markets where he consulted to global industry leaders such as Microsoft (all business divisions), IBM, Philips, Sprint PCS, Cable & Wireless, Honeywell, and Cogent. Radu Delacroix has been a board director and member of the executive management committee at eMagin, a public company. He was also Principal at Ameriquest Capital, a private equity firm.

Radu holds a Ph.D. in engineering from Stanford University and a Diploma in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH Aachen), Germany. He has published over 20 journal articles. His latest publication “Five Myths about Emerging Markets” appeared in Harvard Management Update.


Ralph M. Lieberman

Ralph Lieberman has been consulting to leading technology organizations for more than fifteen years, with a focus in business and market strategy. He has served as Principal at both McKenna Group and, more recently, at OC&C Strategy Consultants; he is former Vice President of Development at Beta Systems. Recent clients include IBM, Xerox, Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, CMG Wireless, and Areva, as well as selected venture capital firms and their portfolio companies. His work includes market and organizational assessment, product and corporate positioning, and growth strategy.

Mr. Lieberman received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University, and is a former National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow. He has published several articles and is a frequent speaker on marketing effectiveness and growth strategy.


Pam Smith

Pam Smith has been in business advisory and marketing strategy roles within the technology industry for over 25 years. She was a Partner at Regis McKenna Inc. a marketing and strategy consulting firm in Palo Alto and has consulted to global industry leaders such as Cisco, Xerox, IBM (multiple divisions) as well as a wide variety of very successful early stage technology companies. Pam has also held positions as the most senior marketing officer within several companies seeing them through periods of high growth and acquisition. She is currently on the advisory board of several early stage technology companies. Pam specializes in Business Model Innovation, Product and Services Strategy, Communications and Go-to-Market strategy.

Pam holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard and an MBA from Harvard.
